Test mode first

Connect a Stripe account in test mode and the whole product runs on fake money. A Test mode badge stays visible in Settings so you always know which world you're in. Switching to live later reconnects that same Stripe account, just in a different mode.

The demo lab

With a test-mode account, owners get Simulation as its own item in the sidebar. The lab drives real Stripe test objects end to end:

• Seed a handful of fixture customers, with monthly and yearly subscriptions.
• Fail a payment — the subscription lands in Unpaid and the active sequence starts.
• Recover — the invoice gets paid, the run flips to recovered.
• Schedule a cancel — the subscription shows up in Leaving, and the save sequence can start.
• Cancel — the subscription can show up in Canceled if a win-back is still possible.
• Open the cancel widget — the same widget your customers would see.
• Pause and advance the clock — to simulate a pause offer and jump forward in time.

Every action reflects in the lists and metrics exactly like real traffic — it's the fastest way to see the full recovery cycle before going live.
